I think you should just stick with make-up.
Its cheaper,safer and looks more natural to me.
Michelle Phan has a few good make-up tutorials on youtube to have bigger looking eyes.
Makes your eyes look alot bigger but still natural.

I've tried Michelle Phan's tutorials. They make my eyes look a little bigger but not much. You really need the right eye shape. I swear by my circle lenses, they make my eyes look so much bigger, and do not irritate my eyes at all. And they're less time consuming than makeup. If you really want significantly bigger looking eyes, circle lenses + makeup is the way to go.

Make up can reshape your whole face! It's plastic surgery in a bottle!

However....there ARE other tricks you can use with your makeup! This video shows an eye lid glue that looks pretty effective. But I don't know how many hours it lasts, or if it's sweat resistant, so look that up!

I agree with you. Natural beauty is considered the most beautiful. I am a common contact lense user who has terrible myopia. I have no idea to not use them because wearing contact lense is quite unhealthy.

I agree with calv. Make-up techniques can do wonders. You should check out Youtube and search for 'makeup tutorial big eyes' or something. People on there know their thing.

Even with eye surgery an Asian will still look Asian. If anything, it's just a trend just as big breasts are in America.

The trendy "big-eyed" Asian girl look animeish to me. But the fact that artists can easily draw anime characters to having realistic eyes should be taken into consideration; instead they draw girls with HUGE eyes. Big eyes are actually a youthful appeal. I actually like the pretty big eyes of the ladies of India.

What's ironic is that Americans think Asian eyes are very beautiful! When I wear make-up people say I look Asian and give me compliments.

Western society's infatuation with cuteness? Are you sure you got that right?

Coloured contacts are not the way to go in my opinion. The blueish ones early in the thread look really unnatural- people are kidding themselves if they think those make them look more attractive. I have seen some really bad coloured contacts on Japanese people- they look scary more than anything else.

Well it depends on what suits you. When I wear black circle lenses, I think it looks a bit alienish, but on a lot of other people it looks attractive. I usually wear purple ones, and I get a lot of compliments, and a few people saying they're creepy. Makeup does not make much of a difference to your eye size UNLESS you already have big eyes.

Here is a picture of my eyes, the top picture just has makeup and the bottom picture has similar makeup (plus black eyeliner on the bottom), circle lenses, and good lighting.
