not sure if you are asking me about how heavy the whole kimono is to wear but yes it is quite heavy and there are a lot of layers to put on, and if you are not used to wearing obi's can be a bit funny to breathe, I didn't have any trouble as I am used to wearing corsets but to most people it would be a strange experience I would imagine

This picture of yukata shows the difference in the way men and women wear kimono. Notice how men's obi is narrower and worn lower than the woman's. Men's obi is worn on the hips, while the women's is worn just above the waist.
