It looks nice, but that's a kimono, not a yukata, (as far as I can see). It seems kinda black for summer...

Well i cant seem to find another color that i like (red or yellow) all i can find are blacks, browns, and blues. Iam not a fan of brown or blue, and iam sure id get some weird looks wearing a yellow kimono.

I have this old kimono that's actually from Hong-Kong, but it looks pretty Japanese. It's reallly short from the waist down, though. It just barely went past my knees.

Question pweassse?! - 01-16-2008, 02:49 AM

i've worn kimono too. i kind of know how to tie obi. unfortunately i don't have any kimono anymore. i only have two vintage obi from the 1920's japan. can any one tell me where to buy the under sashes, knot pillows, and all the things used to keep them shut? i'm not thin so it's really hard for me to find any thing. could anyone tell me where to get plus size kimono, yukata, and furisode?yhgirl:

How to wear a kimono weblog is open - 01-25-2008, 12:31 AM

Hi, I just opened my web site for Japanese kimono lovers (http://kimonolovers.blogspot.com/), which shows how to wear a kimono step by step with lots of pictures :-)

For Furisode Obi sash, there are lots of knotting styles. I also pictured them with description in both English/Japanese.

Visit my site and have a fun

When you buy the furisode, obi, and all the accessories the price easily equals that of a car.

I bought a Kimono from the Collection du Japon boutique at the fair. But now I don't know what to do with it

Anyways, here are pics ^_^

Furisode. Worn by young unmarried women, they are the most expensive and elaborately designed. Kirei!

Yukata. Light summer kimono usually made of cotton. Popular wear for matsuri, bon odori.

Kimono is win! I think kimono wins because of its elegance.

I have a collection of kimono pictures. I can share if you like.
where do they sell them?
