hi all - 07-08-2008, 07:58 PM

I'm back it's been a while but i'm back (if ya care lol).
I came here today because I have a question concerning the use of "iu"(to say) and "iu-koto" (to say something) how would you make the past tenses of the two? would it be

iu---->ita?
say------>said?

iu koto------>ita koto
to say something----->said something?

any help would be gratly apretiated
-Sammy

Umm.. couldn't think of anything clever.. so I'll leave that to you!!

言う Iu > to say
言った Itta > said
言ってた Itteta > did say

言う事 Iu koto > what is said(Eg. 言う事をきいてください - Please listen to what is said/what I say)
言った事 Itta koto > what was said (Eg. なのじょのわるぐちを言った事はない - I've never badmouthed her)
