My name Björn is unspeakable for many countries that don't have that "ö", "ø" or similar sound. So the Katakana form would be ビヨールン、but it is not very correct. So I often offer my nickname Nanuq for Japanese: ナヌク. That's easy to read and has the correct sound.

My name is Ragnhild..
Ragnhild, it's important that you state whether you pronounce the last 'd' or if it's silent! Japanese use phonetic way of spelling, you don't convert directly, letter by letter (for example in the name Håvard, the 'd' is silent = Hobaru, not Hobarudo!)

Japanese is the only language I hear so often that I catch up on new words without having studied so much as one page of a textbook...does that make me an anime addict?

From Björn to Nanuq? Interesting nickname, may I ask as to where you got that nickname?

I have my name in Chinese characters (hanja, Korean pronunciation for kanji)
Family would be 李 and my given name is 俊浩. So my family name would be pronounced: Yi(romanized, it's Lee), リorイ
and my given name is: Junho so:ジューンホ or simply ジューン since that's what I was called back in the states...

海の男
-To be one with the sword. To be humble enough to discover your weakness. To train the body and the mind to recover for the weakness. That's kendo.
