ok,here's the front panel and headstock primered and ready to be painted

i'll hopefully paint it tomorrow if the weather is ok!

and here it is finished in a rather nice chrome silver

once it has dried i can get on with installing the electronics and hardware etc

Looking good!! Can't wait to see the finished product.

I'm thinking about doing the same thing to my old Yamaha starter guitar

it's a great idea to work on those starter guitars coz it doesn't matter too much if you screw up! that one started out life as a Squier but i'm hoping that when i'm done it'll look and sound like a much more expensive one
if you do decide to do work on your Yamaha and want any advice let me know i'll be happy to and feel free to post pics in this thread if you like i'd love to see your progress

ok it's pretty much finished now,just waiting for delivery of the new bridge pickup but i've wired the old on in in the meantime
