Trust me, life is way too short to plan an intricate revenge scheme or to hold long term grudges.

When I caught my girlfriend of 2yrs in bed with her ex-boyfriend, I was incredibly shocked. To make things worse, I had just returned from a hunting trip with some friends so I actually had several firearms in my car! (Sounds like something from a movie eh?)

Luckily for them, I happen to be very cool headed so I quickly left after saying a few choice words. I decided that it wasn't worth my time to waste any emotions on that failed relationship. She tried calling me afterwards but of course I ignored her calls since I didn't have anything to say to her.

That was around 8yrs ago but I ended up having coffee with her when I bumped into her over a year ago. It was our first contact after that incident and she surprisingly broke down in tears as she apologized. I told her not to worry about it but she made me glad that I didn't do anything I'd regret at the time.

That must have been incredibly hard but it seems you dealt with it really well. I have realised now that's the best thing to do things, I think handling something like that is something that comes with age and experience over anything else. Even though it may be incredibly hurtful I think that dwelling over it all the time just makes it so much worse for yourself and it's best to just carry on and not waste time on it.
