hi.... as i can see... Sephy is like more popular than Cloud. I hate Sephiroth's character but he's cute.. Cloud is kinda annoying... hehe what can you say bout this two? ^_^


Sephiroth (セフィロス ,Sefirosu?) is a fictional character and main antagonist in Square's (now Square Enix) role-playing game Final Fantasy VII. He was designed by character designer Tetsuya Nomura and is characterized as a tall man with long silver hair. His appearance was intended to contrast directly with that of the main character, Cloud Strife. Sephiroth's English-language voice actor is Lance Bass in Kingdom Hearts and George Newbern in all other appearances. His Japanese-language voice actor (seiyū) is Toshiyuki Morikawa, although Shin-ichiro Miki voiced the character in Ehrgeiz.

In Final Fantasy VII, Sephiroth serves as the primary antagonist who attempts to become a god by absorbing the planet's energy. He has also made appearances in the Compilation of Final Fantasy VII, Kingdom Hearts series, and Final Fantasy: Dissidia.

Sephiroth has been well-received within the video game community due to his complex motivations and his iconic appearance, particularly his extremely long sword, Masamune. As a result, he is regularly featured in top positions on many "best villain" lists and character polls assembled by game publications and fans.


Cloud Strife (クラウド・ストライフ ,Kuraudo Sutoraifu?) is a fictional character and the main protagonist in Square's (now Square Enix's) role-playing game Final Fantasy VII and several of its sequels and spin-offs. His original design was created by Final Fantasy VII character designer Tetsuya Nomura. Cloud's appearance is marked by spikey blonde hair, vivid blue eyes, dark clothing and his Buster Sword, which previously belonged to his friend Zack Fair. Cloud's official seiyū is Takahiro Sakurai—with Nozomu Sasaki first voicing Cloud in the video game Ehrgeiz—and his voice actor for his English appearances is Steve Burton.

In Final Fantasy VII, Cloud is a mercenary and self-proclaimed ex-member of SOLDIER, a select, genetically augmented military unit operating under the defacto world government and megacorporation Shinra Electric Power Company. Fighting against Shinra in the resistance group "AVALANCHE" and driven by a feud with the primary antagonist, Sephiroth,[5] Cloud learns to come to terms with his troubled past and adapts to his role as a leader. Cloud has also appeared in several other titles outside the Final Fantasy VII continuity. Such titles include Itadaki Street Special, Final Fantasy Tactics, Dissidia: Final Fantasy, Ehrgeiz, and the Kingdom Hearts series.

Cloud has garnered a primarily positive reception by critics. Described as "iconic," the character has been ranked highly in various published character lists. Cloud remains popular among fans, and continues to place highly in popularity polls. Cloud has also become the basis for a variety of merchandise, such as action figures and jewelry.

hmm.. coz ive noticed that more people likes Sephiroth than Cloud.. I dont know either... argh...

Id have to go with Cloud he's the quintessential Anti-Hero and he ends up saving the day anyway. I like his dislike to save the day, I mean Sephiroths Cool and all and his evilness is appealing but I still have to go with Cloud as my Favorite and I also wondered how in hell does he weild that Buster Sword lol Its huge. but still my favorite :)

But Sephiroth always gets the recognition I mean hes the good looking good guy who all of a sudden goes mad and kills everyone and seems cool in his own way and in his looks someone asked this on another forum i frequent a while ago and Sephiroth won by a mile because hes the hot bad guy and lots of people have an obsession with the bad guy more than the Anti-Hero.

Cloud by far.

Though I've seen girls more interested to Kadaj rather than Sephiroth lol

Sephiroth wasnt always crazy, he was KoOL even before he went insane and started painting walls with blood, and he still is! but every character has there uniqueness that makes them so KoOL, picking one is rude to the others^.^ so ill go with top 5: Sephiroth, Vincent, Cloud, Zack, Genesis^.^ the "VVC" in my name stands for "Vincent Valentine, Cloud" BTW :mtongue:
