you didnt get my vibe but that's ok. You can't put both sexes into one bag due to fundamental mental or psychological differences. simply, we have a completely opposite mind setup. which by no means is a bad thing. Quite the contrary. It also has nothing to do with equality of sexes.

I'm male, both biologically and "genderwise" and not afraid to let anyone know either. ;)

I agree, the sexes are not created equal. The male is meant to be the leader and protector of the female sex for females are not built like men. This does not upset me but lets me know that men in the world need to take back leadership roles. I will stop ranting now. Anymore questions on the roles of man and woman.

I agree. Not to say we are animals...but we are animals. The physical aspects of a male are naturally different than a woman and they are protectors. I am fine with girls and guys liking all different kinds of people, but in the same way some would say it is the enforcement of gender roles that keep people from being who they are, I think that the merging of genders and making men and women the same is also confusing genders and also keeping people from being who they are. In both situations people try to be what they think others want from them, even if subconsciously. Also, please note I used the word same and not equal, I feel that men and women are equal when you balance the different aspects that both offer.

ryuurui 03-07-2011 09:05 AM

Exactly. I need to however point out that females tend to be stronger mentally and can endure more (including physical pain). Women have also stronger social skills, and it is all related to their role as mothers. Women easier express what they feel thus release all the tension, reset and go further.

Men on the other hand suffer from testosterone drama, which affects many aspects of our lives, especially during the puberty disaster. However, because we are less concerned and involved emotionally, we do not panic and make decisions based on facts, which (in some cases) makes men better on-the-spot decision makers.

No sex is better, nor equal. If you read deeper and search through psychologigy related publications you will find out that sexes are not really that compatible.

Offtopic:As stated above, we are equal, but not the same.

Ontopic: Why do girls think those big fake eyelashes or blackened to black hole dark and stretched as far as possible are something attractive? Tbh, I hate that, and same for all my friends (not even one exception from the male side)...

catbat 03-07-2011 10:10 AM

I've never been one for that myself, or any of my girlfriends come to think of it. Its too much effort methinks.

If you mean in Japan...being this is a Japan forum... It is bc Japanese girls have very short and straight eyelashes. This look is an attempt to compensate for the lack of eyelashes and to capture the look of a doll, which expresses innocence and youth, which is what Japanese guys are thought to want. I think fake lashes should only be used for photoshoots and on stage performances, but I must say when I see a loli on the train I get giddy at the adorableness. If girls wear them in America...probably skanks. Idk,

Biological sex is one thing, it has limitations and benefits, we can't change it fully either, only adapt it through surgeries, and it does have psychological and physical affects on a person. Gender, however, is a social and cultural construct and does not define a person. If you look at all the nationalities, all the time periods, all the cultures in the world . . . what defines a 'male' and 'female' is different to various extremes.

People are individuals and equals. Gender roles and preconceptions only hinder a person and their development, limiting options to them and pressuring them to act in a certain way or think/feel a certain way. If all races and sexualities are equal then people of both genders should be equal too, and - for that matter - gender is irrelevant.

I guess this is slightly more extreme than what Tokusatsufan said, and I know most people disagree with me, but hey, we all have our ideas and beliefs, and I would not say that advocating equality is anything like Hitler, Ryuurui.

Some people are just narrow-minded I suppose. Part of me can kind of see their point, but that's because everything I do I wonder if it was right or not! You're absolutely right. It's fun to see everyone get a chance.
