To clarify, that's what you'd say if you report the crime to someone later.

Yeah. It literally translates as '... has been stolen'. If in the street, and somebody tries to mug you, I'd say to shout 'Hilfe!!' or 'Hilf mir!!!'. (The latter being the title of one of my favourite songs. lol)

Sie hat sich auf einen Stuhl gesetzt. = She sat down on a chair.
