Why no one talk about Mc Cain belief?

Obama is an American like Mc Cain or Clinton right? Why did we have to talk about his origin, his belief?

All that to say that origin and religion are not "skills" for elect someone as a President..
You are absolutely correct about it not being a skill for the presidency. But in reality, all too many people factor the candidate religion heavier than their real qualifications. To the extent that political speeches are being made from pulpits.

And the reason McCain's religion is not all over the press is because it in line with the Christian oppression of other religions in this country, so it is not deemed noteworthy.

Actually...
I saw the stuff you were saying. Both of you.
And you actually went off more track. You made more assumptions than he did, by the way I read it.
And people don't always reply within 24 hours here. LOL.
Doesn't mean you won the arguement/debate.

I'll say it again. McCain and Obama are both Christians. And they both have been forced to renouce statements by their church's pastors.

Personally I think it is a little much to judge a candidate by something his pastor says. What next, his high school teacher? His grocer? His mailman?

Obama has denounced the statements of that pastor publically. McCain's pastor John Hagee isn't much better, and McCain was forced to denouce his words, too. So choosing a candidate based on their pastor will mean you'll be voting for Nader in Novemeber.
well, as i am assured you know, that our country likes to do everything by its rules[sometimes]. and if those rules are ever broken, then there will be severe consequenses, in some cases. now if we had a muslim tie, that could go both ways. they could just be friendly with and leave us alone, or they can be freindly and stab us all in the back by an invasioon by any means thought of.

and yes i agree with your last statement. McCains pastor isnt going to well either. i dont vote on these statures, and i never said i did. there ideas on the veiws are more important than anything from outside the race.

You honestly believe that having a president who practices Islam would lead to a hostile invasion of the United States by radical muslims?

That's a bit far-fetched, don't you think?

I'd vote for Obama. I agree with his non-violent, ethical views, for the most part.

[nothing personal, i just dont like the views] and i know that the war will stop with McCain as president!!! I SHOULD KNOW!!!! i know a person who went to war, Obama's ways are not the way to go. becuase there will be another terrorist attack like 9/11[may they all R.I.P]. i mean really, "sit down the israli dictator and compromise with him???" cmon! its not the way to do it!! this war started with stupid Clinton's butt talking his mouth off, we dont need another one.
How, when McCain is intent to keep the troops there? He said as much. If he's so intent on us fighting in a war, he should go there himself. Seriously, why are we still in Iraq?
