Why wouldn't I? The menu is localized so it wouldn't be the same as the McDonalds I could go to here.

i heard people sleep at mcdonald's when they miss their train home. hmm..who did i hear that from.. =_= but to answer the question, yes, yes i would.
But to despair was to wish back for something already lost. Or to prolong what was already unbearable. |

We go... fairly often? I`d say 2 or 3 times a month, though less recently.
Why? Because it`s cheaper than picking up something at a conbini - and hot on top of that. You could pay 240 yen for a hot sandwich at a conbini, or get one for 105 at McDonalds. If you`re on your way home at a late hour and want to save money but still have something hot to eat - I see nothing wrong with it. |

And, if you've ever seen the kitchen facilities in a Tokyo apartment (sink too small to put a dinner plate in, a single burner electric stove which takes 20 minutes to boil water, and a refrigerator only big enough for a 6 pack of beer), you would understand why so few here people cook. |

But anyways; Answering the question... sure, why not? I mean, low on money and want something fast, sounds fine to me. |

Fast food is a way of life here, even in small towns young people will buy prepared meals at the local convenience or grocery store. The usual is the typical Obento box lunch. God knows I eat these things at least 5 times a week. |

Thanks for the explanation! I learned something new today, that typically Japanese young [single] people do not cook very much. Thanks! (^_^) Haha |

When I visited Korea, I found Korean McDonald has different taste from Japanese one.
I recommend you to try Japanese McDonald for checking your sensitivity of taste. During the 6 months I was there last year I went 3 times.
The first time was just to see if it had a different taste. The burgers did but the fries were the same. I think they used different sauces on the Big Mac. The third time I had one of the local sandwiches that isn't on the US menu. As for why would you go? Sometimes you just want a burger just like sometimes you want some good sushi or soba. |
