My strategy is to keep the more expensive things and majority of cash in an inside pocket in my bag. That way if the get in my pockets or bag, less likely they'll get anything too valuable before I notice. Now if they try to snatch the bag, I feel sorry for that punk because I'm not giving up with out a fight.

The one time it happened to me was in France. This kid tried to snatch my sunglasses out of my pocket, but I grabbed him by the arm before he could take off.

Another strategy is keeping cash and cards in your shoes, but I have never needed such methods. I don't look that friendly to begin with so that is about all the deterrent I need.

Why would there be groups of orphans in airports pickpocketing? That seems really strange to me. Wouldn't poor kids be begging at the back of food shops? Why hang out in airports? They'd seem so suspicious being there, since people would know that they wouldn't be getting on a plane. Isn't there secuirty and cameras ??

Orphans in Japan? Ive never seen one. I know there are lots of homeless, but most of them are already old. Japanese airports have pickpockets? that is very unlikely

See, what Samokan says here makes a lot more sense to me.

Maybe you thought someone robbed you Kaicui, but maybe you just lost your stuff in the crowds?

xD A gang of orphans robbing people in an Airport, that made my day!

"And in today's news! Japanese Orphans cause international outrage by stealing billions of yen from unsuspecting tourists, in Airports all over Japan!"

Exactly my point. It makes no sense. I may have never been to Japan, but I can't imagine something like that happening. The police would be all over it.
