Do you know you are killing me? :'( It sounds SO amazing! I think small shows are much better.. The only concert I´ve ever visited was Dizmas.. I didn´t know about them before, I just had a free day so I wanted to try a rock concert.. It was really small show but great They were really friendly and everyone was able to talk to them... next day they made a barbecue party. lots of people became really close to them and they´re still connected thanks to facebook. I guess this is much better than huge shows where you just stay in behind. The only an cafe concert I´ve seen was ancafesta´08 on DVD. And it´s.. fantastic.. I´m really jealous right now

Well... - 06-24-2009, 04:30 PM

In Iowa, as far as I know, J-rock is pretty much unheard of. I relay on the internet and some of my friends to give me my daily intake of it. It is a shame really; this state is so uncultured (._.)''

Oh.. I can´t imagine how big USA is.. is it really that in one corner is j-rock famous and there are gigs and in another one nobody knows what is it? But you can order cds and so without paying huge shipping when you´re in USA, don´t you?
Hehe.. it isn´t so big difference anyway :/

J-Rock~Where I've been - 06-24-2009, 06:13 PM

Well, let me see, I've lived in Las Vegas, NV; several parts of Florida; Pascagoula, MS; and Norfolk, VA(all of which are in the US) and I have to say, J-rock/J-pop are most popular in Las Vegas. There's more international connection there, as it's a bigger city. Florida is okay when it comes to J-rock, but people are more into manga and Japanese merchandise. Of all of them, Mississippi is the most out of it, but that's probably because everything is rebel pride and podunk, so I'm really not surprised.

Even so, in the places where J-rock and such are more popular, usually only Japan-o-files listen to J-rock(while we eat pocky and wear our Narutard pride headbands XD). You usually find all the Japanese stuff at Asian markets, bookstores and Hot-Topic.

Of course if you subscribe to Shonen Jump or Shojo Beat here in the US, you're pretty much in the loop anyways.

Yeah, it doesn't reach a lot of the USA i think. Like in CA it is pretty popular and some other places. But definitely most of the gigs go to Los Angeles.
Why we wouldn't we have to pay huge shipping Well, i don't know what it is in Czech Republic, but it's still quite a large amount in my opinion. Like, 20 dollars or more.

Really? When I pay for shipping, it's usually about $5 to $10.
